This song was co-written with my younger sister from love, with love, as we contemplated our relationship with both Spirit and our ancestors. “Anaha ya,” they say, when we wonder where they are or if they care. “Here I am, right here beside you,” they whisper, through our deepest joys and sorrows.

This song marks our first time specifically connecting our Afro-indigenous language and spirituality to our music and it was a joy every step of the way, especially since we both have spent our lives in far off lands away from Garifuna community.
